BizTalk Server is Microsoft’s Integration and connectivity server solution. SharePoint is a web platform for collaborative work and document management, with special emphasis on Office documents. SQL Server is a relational model database server capable of providing many people large amounts of data simultaneously. It is characterized by its scalability, performance, stability and security. There is also a free version called SQL Express Edition that is used in small applications and another version for mobile devices.

Visual Studio is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) which supports several programming languages and can be used to develop web services, web applications and desktop applications. Version 2008 supports .NET framework 3.5 as well as Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
